Fanfare Magazine Group needs an administrative coordinator capable of providing monthly invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable, coordinating magazine distribution, maintaining client contracts, mailing correspondence to advertisers, and some event planning.

If you're proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks, and you possess excellent verbal and communication skills, we want to hear from you!

Sales

One full time advertising sales position involving outside sales calls on the best stores, restaurants, hotels and attractions in Winnipeg for the purposes of developing and selling marketing campaigns that include media buys in Fanfare magazines. Sales professionals work with internal design partners who assist in the execution of the creative elements of the marketing campaign.

Description
Fanfare Magazine Group (est 1984) publishes Ciao! and WHERE, magazines about Winnipeg's best places. Ciao! is a food and entertainment publication for Winnipeg residents, while WHERE is written for travellers staying in local hotels - a member of the global network of WHERE destination magazines. The magazines are published on alternate months and share much of their editorial content.

Editor Responsibilities

source product for photo shoots
work with photographers in styling food and decor shoots
write feature editorial stories
proof-read and fact-check
work with the Art Director to ensure high quality editorial product
propose story ideas about the Winnipeg dining, shopping and entertainment scene
work with the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief to establish and execute editorial plans
update social media channels
upload and update content on where.ca and ciaowinnipeg.com (both use wordpress format)

Qualifications
This position requires at least two years of editorial experience, a love of magazines, and a talent for written and visual communication. Journalism or communications degree preferred.

Design

Three full time graphic design positions involve creating and designing advertising for magazine clients as well as editorial page layout for the editorial department. This includes art directing photo shoots, illustration, typography and spatial layout.
